PENGGUNAAN ADJECTIVE

Kalau kita lihat adjective dari sisi penggunaan, maka terdapat 3 jenis adjective:

1. Attributive adjective
2. Predicative adjective
3. Complement adjective

1. Attributive adjective adalah adjective yang diletakaan sebelum Noun atau keberadaannya selalu bersama Noun

Contoh:

• He reads a new book
• You have much money
• The pretty girl has gone to Bandung

2. Predicative adjective adalah adjective yang biasanya terletak setelah kata kerja to be

Contoh:

• I am fine
• She is beautiful
• They are happy

3. Complement adjective adalah adjective yang biasanya diletakan setelah linking verb atau objective case

Contoh:

• He feels happy to hear his father’s coming
• She makes me glad to do this work
• You look sleepy
